COATING OF THE
At the end of the heat treatment, abrasive blasting and painting of the items are often required. The abrasive
blasting aims to remove all the oxides that would come off in exercise, carrying away the paint, and has also the aim to give roughness to the metal to increase the adhesion of the paints.
The paints used by TRATER are the traditional epoxy primer or zinc rich, with solvent; The solvent-based products
provide more guarantees on the welds and on imperfect surfaces of steel structures in general, compared to waterbased products (absence of rust blistering).
TRATER also offers the cycloaliphatic amine epoxy paints, specially formulated to be overcoated with water-based finishes at the assembly workshops.
